About Sierra Blue Zone
'Blue Zones' are exceptional locations around the globe where people have longer lifespans, optimal health and greater happiness. While I can't speak to people's longevity, I can say that since availing this property to the public, Sierra Blue Zone has quickly evolved into one of these types of unique places. Nestled in the Sierra foothills in California's southern-most gold country, with its warm Bohemian ambience, nod to Moroccan design and steeped in natural beauty and wildlife, the space provides the ideal jumping off point for your Yosemite dream vacation, or simply lounging by the pool, napping or doing nothing!

After 35 years in the San Francisco Bay Area working in design and tech, I discovered Coarsegold, a place where life means living closely with the natural world, a place where you have to go out of your way to see other people...
a place where unwinding is as natural as the rising sun.
Sierra Blue Zone helps fund a series of passion projects where technology meets art, several of which are devoted to turning attention back to the natural world, and in the process, allowing for my life's most meaningful work and wildlife conservation.
When you visit, I'll be here to facilitate as concierge, ensuring you have everything you need for an amazing stay. I'll be in my own separate dwelling with my clouder of cats who bring a variety of indifference, disdain and demands to the table. Between these little ingrates and the deer and their antics, there's never a dull moment.

Sierra Blue Zone's dining room can comfortably seat 8, as can the Moroccan Zellige mosaic table poolside to share a delicious meal and a glass of wine with your favorite people. Sleeping can accommodate 8 people comfortably. Choose from several lounge areas inside or out which offer both intimate settings for private conservation, writing your novel, or share larger spaces, great for playing music and games, watching movies or telling stories.
